Celtic plc ('the Company') was notified today that Brian Quinn, non-executive
Chairman of the Company, acquired 33,745 Ordinary Shares of 1p each in the
capital of the Company today, at a price of 58.75 pence per share. The shares
will be registered in the name of a nominee, Brooks MacDonald Services Limited.

Following the transaction, Mr Quinn will be interested in 109,862 Ordinary
Shares representing 0.13% of the issued capital in that class and 0.11% of
overall voting rights.
