On 21 December 2007, Centamin Egypt Limited (TSX:CEE, ASX:CNT, AIM:CEY) received
notification that, following the conversion of warrants issued at a price of
C$1.20 under the Short Form Prospectus published by the Company on 18 December
2007, Paulson & Co. Inc. now has an interest in 70,735,000 ordinary shares in
the Company representing 8.08 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
