Centamin Egypt Limited (TSX:CEE, ASX:CNT, AIM:CEY) announces that, following the
automatic exercise of unquoted special warrants issued on 23 November 2007 for
C$1.20 each, 112,000,000 ordinary shares were issued and allotted on 28 December
2007.



Application has been made for the new ordinary shares to be admitted to trading
on AIM. The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary
shares in the Company and trading of these shares on AIM is expected to commence
on 04 January 2008.



The total number of Ordinary Shares on issue following this issue is
875,159,163.
