Centamin Egypt Limited ("Centamin" or "the Company")

PUBLICATION OF PROSPECTUS AND CANCELLATION TO TRADING ON AIM
Centamin announces that it has today published its prospectus ("Prospectus") in connection with the admission of its entire issued ordinary share capital to the Official List of the Financial Services Authority and to London Stock Exchange plc's main market for listed securities ("Admission").
It is expected that Admission will become effective and that dealings in Centamin's ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange's main market will commence at 08.00 am on Friday 6 November 2009. Trading in the Company's ordinary shares on AIM will be cancelled simultaneously. However, trading of the Company's ordinary shares on the Australian Securities Exchange and Toronto Stock Exchange will continue under current arrangements. The Company is not raising any funds or issuing any new ordinary shares in connection with Admission. The Company's TIDM code on the London Stock Exchange will continue to be CEY and, on Admission, there will be 1,019,466,078 ordinary shares in issue.

The Prospectus has also been submitted to the United Kingdom Listing Authority and will shortly be available for inspection at the United Kingdom Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility situated at: Financial Services Authority, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS.
