Centaur Media plc acquires Creative Handbook
May 25th 2007: Centaur Media plc (Centaur), the specialist business publishing,
information and events group, has acquired the Creative Handbook from Reed
Business Information Ltd. for £0.3m.
The Creative Handbook is an annual directory publication in the creative
services market where Centaur is represented by the monthly magazine Creative
Review and the weekly Design Week.
No staff are included in the transaction and the business will be moved to
Centaur's offices with immediate effect. The next issue of the Handbook (dated
2008) will be published later this year.
Geoff Wilmot, Chief Executive of Centaur, said: "We are delighted to be
acquiring this highly regarded directory from Reed. We believe that it will fit
in very well with our existing print titles and websites that serve this
community. One leg of Centaur's strategy is to build on its strength in the
markets in which it already operates and this latest acquisition reflects the
successful continuation of that strategy."
