                           Transaction in Own Shares


Centaur Media plc announces that on 17 December 2007 it purchased 250,000
ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at a price of 85 pence per share.
These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following the purchase, the Company holds 6,600,000 of its ordinary shares in
Treasury and has a total of 143,587,960 ordinary shares (excluding shares held
in Treasury) in issue.
