Transaction in Own Shares

Central Asia Metals plc (AIM:CAML), announces that on 5 October 2012 it purchased 40,500 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 99.2531pence per ordinary share.  The highest price and the lowest price paid for these shares was99.50 and 99.00 pence respectively. All the purchased shares will be held as Treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 903,938 ordinary shares as Treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue is 85,261,996 (excluding ordinary shares held as treasury shares).
