CENTRICA PLC

Centrica PLC has applied to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock
Exchange for a block listing of 5,000,000 ordinary shares of 6 14/81 pence each
to be admitted to the Official List.

These shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the
Company and will be issued in connection with the future exercise of options
under the terms of the Centrica Executive Share Option Scheme.
