Centrica appoints Non-Executive Director

Centrica plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan Bostock as a Non-Executive Director of the Company, with effect from 9 May 2022.  Nathan will become a member of the Audit & Risk Committee and Nominations Committee.

Scott Wheway, Chairman, said: "I look forward to welcoming Nathan to the Board in May as a Non-Executive Director.  Nathan brings a wealth of expertise in financial risk management at the highest level and significant commercial experience, particularly in large scale customer-facing businesses, that will be of great benefit to the Board."

Centrica also announces that Amber Rudd, Non-Executive Director, has been appointed a member of the Nominations Committee with effect from today.

1.  This announcement is made pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.11R.

2.  In accordance with obligations under Listing Rule 9.6.13R, Nathan Bostock holds or has held the following directorships of a publicly quoted company in the previous five years:

Nathan Bostock is Chief Executive Officer of Santander UK plc (Santander UK), having been appointed to the role in 2014.  Nathan joined Santander UK from The Royal Bank of Scotland plc (RBS), where he was an Executive Director and Group Finance Director. He previously held the post of Group Chief Risk Officer, having joined RBS in 2009. Nathan served on the Board of Abbey National plc (now Santander UK) as an Executive Director, from 2005 until 2009. He joined Abbey National plc in 2001, holding a number of senior positions including Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Finance, Markets and Human Resources.

Mr Bostock is a chartered accountant and holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics.
