Centrica builds on its Home Services business

Centrica plc today announced the purchase of electrical appliance repair and
servicing business National Homecare from Thorn UK. The acquisition makes
Centrica's British Gas Services business one of the largest kitchen appliance
service contract providers in the country.
The Birmingham based business employing 100 engineers servicing 80,000 kitchen
appliance contracts has been acquired for around £2million (£1.3million net of
contract prepayments),
The acquisition means British Gas Services now provides cover for over four
million heating and kitchen appliances.
