Smart Card Partnership

Centrica has today announced its intention to invest £12m, through the AA
brand, to launch a smart membership card for golfers in England, in
partnership with the English Golf Union and AdvancedWave Limited.

Centrica, through its relationship with the Bank of Scotland will offer a
credit card as part of the functionality of the new membership card, offering
loyalty benefits to both members and clubs.

This innovative venture will provide the basis of further marketing driven
affinity deals, including products provided from across the Centrica group.
