                            Significant shareholding

The Company was notified on 11th August 2004 that Deutsche Bank AG and its 
subsidiary companies hold 2,218,532 ordinary shares in Celtic Resources, which 
represents 6.02 per cent. of its total issued ordinary share capital.

Deutsche Bank AG London Branch holds 216,032 shares and 2,002,500 shares are now
held by other Deutsche Bank group companies in customer portfolio, as follows:
