The Board of Crown Eyeglass plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr
Alan Arthur Watson as a non-executive director of the Company from 10 November
1999.
Alan Watson's main career was with the Bank of England, mostly in London but
for the last ten years, until he retired in 1995, as Agent for the Bank in
Manchester, where he built up close relationships with a wide range of
businesses in the North West Region. Mr Watson, aged 62, is currently a
member of the Northern Board of N M Rothschild & Sons Limited and Chairman of
the management consultants, SMCS International Limited. Other directorships
held in the previous five years were with:
Chester Water PLC
Dee Valley Group PLC
Transpennine Ltd and
Manchester Camerata Ltd
There is no further disclosable information regarding Mr Watson pursuant to
Rule 16.8(e) (iii)-(viii) of the AIM Admission Rules.
