AGM STATEMENT


At the Annual General Meeting of Chamberlin & Hill PLC today, Chairman John
Eccles will make the following comments to shareholders:


In May we said that we were looking forward to firmer markets as the year
progressed. To date, we have not seen any improvement in demand and we expect
first half profits to be lower than those achieved in the first six months of
last year. We will update shareholders on the outlook for the year in our
interim statement in November.
