Character secures Bin Weevils Master Toy Licence
The Character Group plc ("Character") is pleased to announce that its principal trading subsidiary, Character Options Limited, has won a multi-year toy partnership with Bin Weevils Limited (www.binweevils.com) to develop and market under license a full range of toys which will include collectable figurines, plush and playsets. The first products in the range will be available at retail in the Autumn.
Already ranked number 2 in the UK amongst children's social worlds (Source: Comscore November 2011), Bin Weevils has shown rapid growth, in both number of users and number of licensing partners, over the last year. Its popularity with its audience led to it winning the 'best kids web-site' children's BAFTA award in November 2011, ahead of such competition as Moshi Monsters, Club Penguin, Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and CBBC.
