Double Success for Character in Dream Toys 2010
The Toy Retailers Association ("TRA") has once again placed two of Character's products in its 'Dream Dozen' for Christmas 2010. Character has the following toys tipped for overall success:
Fireman Sam's Deluxe Fire Station - Now you can command Fireman Sam and his team in this Deluxe Fire Station play set. Open up the fire station to reveal the fire fighters' headquarters. Includes kitchen, utility room and a turn table for Jupiter to be turned and directed out of the opening doors. The set includes Officer Steele and Fireman Sam figures. Also comes with accessories such as fire extinguisher and fireman's pole!
ZhuZhu Pets® Grooming Salon - This is the 2nd year in succession that ZhuZhu Pets® has been in the Dream Dozen list! Now your ZhuZhu Pets® can pamper themselves at the ZhuZhu Pets Grooming Salon! Watch your pets sit in the chair and "dry" their hair. No salon is complete without mirrors, lights, brushes and grooming supplies!
In addition, two further toys were represented in the TRA's list for best Boys Toys with the Doctor Who Sonic Screw Driver and the Kung Zhu Pets™ Battle Arena predicted to be hot choices this Christmas. Lullaby Peppa Pig is expected to be a favoured option for pre-school children.
Richard King, Chairman of The Character Group said:
"Each year the TRA announces its predictions for the Dream Dozen toys. The list is chosen from all toys in the marketplace and takes into account factors, such as sales predictions, innovative marketing and pure entertainment value, which makes us once again proud to receive such recognition in the only official prediction of Christmas best-sellers."
Jon Diver, Joint Managing Director of The Character Group commented:
"This is a great endorsement of the quality and play value of the toys we produce at Character and of our strategy of building and developing long term brands. We are delighted that five of our products from separate Character brands have been selected for the Dream Dozen this year. This gives us further support in our position as one of the largest players in the UK toy and games market."
