Elektron Technology plc
Launch of Dual Sensor Technology for nanopositioning
Elektron Technology plc (AIM: EKT, "Elektron" or the "Group"), the developer of fast moving engineered products with market leading positions in connectivity, instrumentation and monitoring and control markets, announces that Queensgate Instruments, the Group's precision instrumentation brand, has launched the first of a new range of microscopy products.
These products are enabled with Dual Sensor Technology, an innovative control mechanism which will facilitate faster responses and higher throughput than current industry standards.
In its first implementation, Dual Sensor Technology will power a new version of Queensgate's microscope objective lens scanning mechanism. This will enable customers to achieve throughputs up to three times faster than the competing products for applications such as the creation of three dimensional images in optical microscopy.
The Dual Sensor Technology is being showcased at this year's European Microscopy Congress (emc2012) in Manchester from 16-21 September.
John Wilson, CEO of Elektron Technology commented:
"Dual Sensor Technology is another exciting product launch from our rapidly growing portfolio of innovative, market leading products.
"Our investment in Elektron's central research and development capability is paying off, allowing our engineers to respond quickly to market needs."
