Launch of new series of mains power connectors
Elektron Technology plc (AIM: EKT, "Elektron"), the global technology group, announces that Bulgin, its connectivity brand, has launched the latest range in its Buccaneer Series of connectors.
The Buccaneer 7000 Series has been developed for mains power and signal applications and is designed specifically for harsh environments where dust or water ingress can have critical consequences. The connectors have market leading sealing characteristics, adhering to industry recognised standards.
Building on the 6000 Series of push-pull locking connectors launched last year, the 7000 Series features a unique twist locking system providing quick and convenient, 'fit and forget' connectivity in less than quarter of a turn, unlike many competing connectors that still rely on the separate parts being screwed together.
The connectors are available in a range of options, with a choice of fully interchangeable nickel plated, cast zinc alloy or UV-resistant, fire retardant plastic bodies, offering the greatest possible flexibility in system design.
John Wilson, CEO of Elektron Technology commented:
"We have built on the success of our existing products and listened to the requirements of customers to develop the Buccaneer 7000 Series. With its interchangeable metal and plastic casings and almost instant twist locking connectivity, this is a further innovative connector range in our expanding portfolio."
