BFS Small Companies Dividend Trust PLC



The Company was informed today by Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited that they
purchased 625,000 Ordinary shares on 29 August 2001, on behalf of Jove
Investment Trust Plc.



Jove Investment Trust Plc now holds 722,000 Ordinary shares, representing
4.58% of the issued class of capital (previously 0.62%).



Also on 29 August 2001, Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited sold 625,000 Ordinary
shares on behalf of discretionary funds under management.



The total number of shares managed by Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited and its
associated companies remains 3,550,000 Ordinary shares, representing 22.54% of
the issued class of capital.
