BOARD CHANGES

Chemring Group PLC ("Chemring" or "the Company") announces today the appointment of two directors, Vanda Murray as Non-Executive Director, and Sarah Ellard as Group Legal Director.

Vanda brings with her over twenty years of plc experience and has held a number of Non-Executive Directorships. She is currently Non-Executive Director of Carillion plc, The Manchester Airport Group plc and Microgen plc. Until recently she was Deputy Chairman of the North West Regional Development Agency and a Non-Executive Director of SIG plc.

Vanda Murray has a broad industrial background, with notable experience in manufacturing operations both in the UK and internationally. She was Chief Executive Officer of Blick plc, where she implemented a business restructuring programme, and subsequently UK Managing Director of Ultraframe PLC. Prior to 2001, Vanda held various senior Sales and Marketing roles, during which time she was responsible for driving sales, business development, and assessing potential acquisitions and partnerships. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and in 2002 was appointed OBE for Services to Industry and to Export.

Sarah Ellard joined Chemring in 1994 and was appointed Company Secretary in 1998. Alongside her new role as Group Legal Director, Sarah will continue to fulfil the position of Company Secretary. Sarah is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Sarah brings an enormous wealth of knowledge of the Group and the challenges it faces in the international market. I am confident that they will both make important contributions to our Board deliberations and to the development of the business".

Sarah Ellard's appointment is with immediate effect, and Vanda Murray's will be from 1 November 2011.
