Chemring Group PLC ('Chemring' or 'Group') confirms that an incident occurred
this morning at its Simmel Difesa factory in Colleferro, Italy. The Group
regrets that this has resulted in one fatality and a number of injuries.

Chemring has launched a full and immediate investigation into the nature of the
incident. Further information on the implications of this will be provided in
due course.
