Approval of appointment qualification of chairman

At the meeting of the board of directors (the "Board") of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (the "Company") on 11 December 2023, the Board agreed to appoint Mr. FU Fan ("Mr. FU") as the chairman of the Board, and his appointment qualification is subject to the approval of the National Administration of Financial Regulation ("NAFR"). The Company is pleased to announce that the Company recently received the "Approval of Appointment Qualification of FU Fan of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd." (Jin Fu [2024] No. 50) issued by the NAFR. The NAFR approved the appointment qualification of Mr. FU as the chairman of the Board. The term of office of Mr. FU as the chairman of the Board shall commence on 26 January 2024 and end upon expiry of the current session of the Board.

The biographical details of Mr. FU are set out below:

Mr. FU Fan, born in October 1964, currently serves as chairman and executive director of the Company, director of Pacific Asset Management Co., Ltd. Previously, Mr. FU served as president of the Company, deputy general manager of Shanghai Investment Corporation, deputy general manager of China International Fund Management Co., Ltd., general manager and vice chairman of Shanghai International Trust Co., Ltd., chairman of Shanghai State-owned Assets Operation Co., Ltd., and director and general manager of Shanghai International Group Co., Ltd. Mr. FU holds a master's degree.

Approval of appointment qualification of president

At the meeting of the Board on 11 December 2023, the Board agreed to appoint Mr. ZHAO Yonggang ("Mr. ZHAO") as the president of the Company, and his appointment qualification is subject to the approval of the NAFR. The Company is pleased to announce that the Company recently received the "Approval of Appointment Qualification of ZHAO Yonggang of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd." (Jin Fu [2024] No. 49) issued by the NAFR. The NAFR approved the appointment qualification of Mr. ZHAO as the president of the Company. The term of office of Mr. ZHAO as the president of the Company shall commence on 26 January 2024 and end upon expiry of the current session of the Board.

The biographical details of Mr. ZHAO are set out below:

Mr. ZHAO Yonggang, born in November 1972, currently serves as president of the Company. Mr. ZHAO served as head of the Party and Masses Affairs Department of the Company, director of the Strategic Transformation Office of China Pacific Life Insurance Co., Ltd.("CPIC Life"), general manager of Heilongjiang Branch and Henan Branch, chairman of the Trade Union and human resources director of CPIC Life, chairman of the Trade Union and vice president of the Company, and vice chairman of the supervisory committee and director of Haitong Securities Co., Ltd. listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange("SSE") and The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited ("SEHK") (SSE stock code: 600837, SEHK stock code: 06837). Mr. ZHAO holds a bachelor's degree.
