Regulator of Social Housing Stability Check outcome for Citizen

Citizen Treasury plc

25 October 2023

Governance grade confirmed as G1; viability regrade to V2 from V1 for Citizen Housing Group following the Regulator of Social Housing's latest annual stability check.

This viability regrade comes predominantly from our conscious decision to significantly accelerate our energy efficiency programme following a successful bid for Wave 2 funding from the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund. The grant funding awarded through the Wave 2 bid was £24m to offset against the £74m of cost we anticipate spending on bringing over 2,000 of our homes up to a minimum of EPC C by the end of 2025; which is 5 years earlier than the Government's 2030 target.

The Regulator of Social Housing's published Regulatory Judgement for Citizen can be found here.
