Application for Block Listing of Shares

The Company announces that an application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for the block listing of 20,000,000 ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company to be admitted to the Official List under its general corporate purposes scheme.  The new shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares.

The Company may issue any or all of these shares for cash from time to time provided always that no such issue will be made at prices below the then prevailing net asset value per share.
