Dividend on Ordinary Shares

The Board of The City of London Investment Trust plc announces that a third interim dividend of 4.55p per ordinary share of 25p, in respect of the year ending 30 June 2018, will be paid on Thursday 31 May 2018 to holders registered at the close of business on 27 April 2018.  The Company's shares will go ex-dividend on 26 April 2018. 

The Board also intends to pay a fourth interim dividend of 4.55p per share for the year to 30 June 2018.  The fourth interim dividend will be declared in July 2018. This would make a total dividend for the year to 30 June 2018 of 17.70p per share, an increase of 6.0% over the previous year.

The dividends will be paid from the Company's revenue account.
