The board of directors of Close Brothers Group plc ("Close Brothers" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracey Graham as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
Tracey has been appointed as a member of the board's Remuneration and Risk Committees, and, consistent with the Company's other independent non-executive directors, she has also become a director of the Company's Banking subsidiary, Close Brothers Limited.
Tracey is an experienced non-executive director, having served on a number of listed company and mutual boards across a range of sectors, including financial services. She has extensive experience as a remuneration committee chair and also serves as a senior independent director. Tracey is currently a non-executive director of Ibstock plc, DiscoverIE Group plc and LINK Scheme Limited. Tracey has been a non-executive director of Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Limited ("Royal London") since March 2013 but will step down from that role today, as previously announced by Royal London.
Tracey has broad executive experience from companies operating in the financial and business services sectors, both in the UK and internationally. She was Chief Executive Officer of Talaris Limited, an international cash management business. Before that, she held a number of senior roles in De La Rue plc, including as Managing Director - Identity Systems, President - Sequoia Voting Systems and Managing Director - Cash Systems. Tracey began her career at HSBC and subsequently held the role of Director of Customer Services at AXA Insurance plc.
