Cardinal Resources plc (AIM:CDL) ('Cardinal' or 'The Company'), an independent
oil and gas production and exploration company operating in Ukraine, was
notified that Robert J Bensh, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cardinal,
today purchased 200,000 Cardinal Ordinary Shares at a price of 27p.

Mr. Bensh's total holding in the Company now equals 1,518,533 Cardinal Ordinary
Shares, or 1.3% of the issued share capital.
