                        CLS Holdings Plc (the 'Company')

                           Acquisition of own shares

The Company announces that, pursuant to its general authority granted by
shareholders of the Company on 12 May 2004 to make market purchases of its own
shares the Company made on market purchases of 34,000 Ordinary Shares at 420
pence per Ordinary Share on 18 April 2005 (to be held as treasury shares).

The Company now holds 1,678,176 Ordinary Shares in treasury and the total number
of Ordinary Shares in issue less the total number of Ordinary Shares held in
treasury following the purchase and non-cancellation of such Ordinary Shares is
83,849,001 Ordinary Shares.
