CML Microsystems Plc (the Company) announces that George Bates will be retiring
from his executive position of Director of Engineering effective from 31 March
2006, but will continue to serve with the board as non-executive director.
George Bates joined the Company in November 1971 and was appointed Group
director of engineering in May 1984. From this position, he has played a leading
role in the successful development of the CML Group's range of semiconductor
products for the global wire-line and wireless communications markets.
As a non-executive director, he will contribute particularly to strategic
considerations concerning the technical and engineering elements of the Group's
product directions.
