COMINO GROUP PLC : CONTRACT GAIN
Comino Group plc ('Comino'), a leading provider of software solutions for the
social housing, occupational pensions and local government sectors, announces
that it has been awarded a substantial contract by Ford of Britain to supply
its award winning pensions administration software, Universal Pensions
Management (UPM). The Ford of Britain 86,000 member scheme is looking to
improve efficiency and provide the very best in customer service.
Ford of Britain's pensions department intends to significantly improve the way
that its employee pensions are administered and aims to provide a much more
customer focused approach to administration.
The Ford of Britain pensions administration team are currently working in an
environment of outmoded systems and technology, with increasing complexity
arising from legislation and contracted changes to the benefit structure. The
time had come to look at its business processes and find a new, more dynamic
software solution.
Comino was selected by tender, after Ford of Britain looked at all the
products on the market seeking a solution for the 21st century system.
Commenting, Garth Selvey, Chief Executive of Comino, said:
'Ford of Britain pensions office intends to open up methods of communication
with members and aims to provide increased access to information via intranets
and the internet. Document imaging and workflow will be key in achieving a
paperless office with the maximum number of tasks automated, allowing the
administration team to concentrate on non-standard cases and to quickly access
the information they require.'
Ford of Britain's long term aim is to have wider distribution of skills, less
specialisation and a more active communication role.
