DIRECTORS' SHARE INTERESTS
Following the announcement on 21 May 2002 regarding Directors' Interests arising
from the allotment of shares on 13 May 2002 under the Company's Scrip Dividend
Alternative allotted at a rate of 1 new share for every 50 elected and also the
Capitalisation Issue 2002 allotted on 20 May 2002, at a rate of 1 new share for
every 10 already held, Guinness Peat Group plc ('GPG') announces a correction to
Dr Weiss's holding. The following are now the interests of directors in the
capital of GPG:
