Appointment of Non-Executive Director
Coats Group plc ('Coats' or the 'Company'), the world's leading industrial thread manufacturer, announces that Steve Murray will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director, effective 1 September 2022. In addition, he will join the Audit and Risk Committee, the Nomination Committee and the Remuneration Committee.
Steve has more than 30 years of experience in the apparel and footwear industry and was previously Global Brand President of The North Face. Prior to The North Face, he was a member of the group executive leadership team at VF Corporation, one of the world's largest apparel, footwear and accessories companies and the parent company of The North Face. He previously served as CEO of Airwair International (Dr. Martens, the iconic British footwear and clothing brand), and prior to that he served as Global Brand President of Urban Outfitters, and EMEA President at Deckers Brands.
David Gosnell OBE, Chair, said: 'I am delighted that Steve will be joining the Coats Board. He is a very experienced Director with in-depth knowledge and understanding of our Apparel and Footwear end-markets.
