Further to the announcement of a 10% top-up share offering on 12 May 2004, Close
Brothers AIM VCT plc ('the Company') announces that it has now issued 949,104
Ordinary Shares to investors. These Ordinary Shares rank pari passu with the
existing Ordinary Shares in the Company and were issued at a price of 85.5p per
share in line with the pricing formula in the top-up offer document, based on a
Net Asset Value of 81.19p per Ordinary Share as at the close of business on
Friday 9 July 2004. Dealings are expected to commence in the new Ordinary Shares
on 19 July 2004. Share certificates are expected to be despatched or CREST
accounts credited by 31 July 2004. The top-up offer remains open and for
