COHORT PLC ("Cohort")
Appointment of New Managing Director at SEA
Cohort, the independent technology group, today announces that Stephen Hill has been appointed as the new Managing Director of its wholly-owned subsidiary SEA, with effect from today, 24 January 2011.
Stephen has over ten years senior managerial experience, predominately in the international aerospace and defence sector. He began his career in 1983 at GEC Marconi as an electronics engineer, eventually becoming Business Director with responsibility for the land systems electro-optics business at Basildon. In 2000, he moved to Thales, where his roles included Managing Director of the Air Operations business at Wells, and Vice President with responsibility for the UK Air Systems Division. Most recently he was Chief Executive of CircleBath, a new venture capital backed private hospital in Bath.
Stephen has a 1st class honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Project Management.
Stephen will formally take over the role on 1 March 2011 following a hand over period from Andrew Thomis, Cohort's Chief Executive, who has been overseeing SEA in the additional role of its Managing Director since last autumn.
Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Thomis, Chief Executive of Cohort plc, said:
"Stephen's strong background and proven track record in delivering high quality business management and project execution will be a significant asset to us as we continue to develop our business. On behalf of the entire Group, I am delighted in welcoming Stephen to SEA."
