Appointment of new SCS Managing Director
Cohort, the independent technology group, today announces that it has appointed Bill Bird as the new Managing Director of Systems Consultants Services Ltd ("SCS"), its defence technical advisory business, with effect from 6 September 2010.
Bill joins the group from Moorhouse Consulting where he has been working as a Programme Director. He led Hedra's UK defence and aerospace business between 2003 and 2007, having been a senior level consultant at KPMG in the defence field from 2000-2003. Between 1991 and 1999 he held senior roles with Rockwell UK and Boeing Defence UK. Prior to this he spent 16 years as an RAF officer, during which time he was awarded the MBE. Bill graduated from Cambridge University and holds an MBA.
Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Thomis, Chief Executive of Cohort plc, said:
