Trading Update and Senior Management Appointments

Cohort, a leading independent defence technical services business, today gives the following update on
trading for the year ended 30 April 2007 and announces senior management appointments in its two
wholly-owned subsidiaries, effective from 1 May 2007:
Trading update
The Group expects results for the year ended 30 April 2007 to be in line with market expectations.
The company will announce preliminary results for the period on 12 July 2007. MASS Consultants
Limited ("MASS"), which was acquired in August 2006, has settled well into the Group and continues to
perform according to management expectations. Good progress has been made towards securing valuable
new export business at MASS.
Senior management changes
In order to allow Stanley Carter to focus on his role as Group Chief Executive of Cohort plc, Rick
Bounsall, 51 has been appointed as Managing Director of Cohort's wholly-owned subsidiary, Systems
Consultants Services Limited ("SCS"), a role which Stanley Carter previously held. As a Brigadier in
the British Army, Rick Bounsall held senior appointments in the Ministry of Defence for the past 6
years involving major equipment programmes.
In addition, Andrew Thomis, formerly Corporate Development Director of Cohort plc, has been appointed
as Managing Director of MASS. Andrew has considerable experience of the defence industry having prior
to Cohort worked in the Ministry of Defence and Alvis plc. The position of Managing Director at MASS
had been vacant since the former Managing Director left at the time of the acquisition.

skills in four main business areas: Managed Services, Electronic Warfare, Secure Communications and
Information Assurance.
Cohort was specifically established to capitalise on consolidation and organic growth opportunities in
the defence technical services market and was admitted to trading on AIM on 8 March 2006.
