CIB Announces end of 2004 Results
CIB has ended 2004 with impressive results of LE 505.7 million representing
23% yoy growth. The constant and steady growth was obviously due to core
business activities where ;
Net Interest Income grew by 23% from LE 578 million in 2003 to LE. 709
million in 2004. Non-Interest Income growth of 30% recording LE. 564 MM which
results in 26% growth in NOP.
Total Provisions LE.323 million was distributed as follows:
Loan Loss Provisions: LE. 257 million
Tax Provisions LE. 50 million
Contingent Provisions LE. 32 million
General Risk Provisions LE. 16 million
Operation Risk of 107 MM and Market Risk OF 17 MM are part of General Risk
provision coverage according to 'Basel II' requirements.
Non Performing Loans (NPL) recorded 5.2% of Total Portfolio. NPL Coverage Ratio
reached 137%.
