SAINT-GOBAIN expects to COMPLETE ITS ACQUISITION
OF bUILDING pRODUCTS OF CANADA ON SEPTEMBER 1st, 2023

Saint-Gobain has now obtained approval from the Competition Bureau of Canada for its acquisition announced on June 12, 2023 of Building Products of Canada, a privately owned manufacturer of residential roofing shingles and wood fiber insulation panels in Canada. The acquisition is expected to close on September 1st, 2023.

With this acquisition, Saint-Gobain takes a logical step to reinforce its leadership in light and sustainable construction in Canada by completing its offer on Exterior Solutions in the country with Roofing, following the addition of Siding thanks to the Kaycan acquisition in 2022. The acquisition therefore complements the existing CertainTeed Canada operations, already leader in Interior Solutions (gypsum, insulation, ceilings).
