Consolidated sales for Groupe Lapeyre (a member of the Saint-Gobain Group)
amounted to EURO 940.2 million (FRF 6,167.6 million) at September 30, 2000, an
increase of 10.3% compared with the first nine months of 1999. Growth at
constant scope of consolidation was 8.5%.

In France, business continued to be good in both the B2C and B2B markets. In
Europe as a whole, B2C sales increased very slightly in the third quarter, while
B2B sales were down sharply in both Germany and Poland.
