Compass Group Acquires Caterine Restauration in France

Compass Group PLC announces an important acquisition in France.

We are pleased to announce today the acquisition of Caterine Restauration S.A.S from Industries & Finances Partenaires S.A.S., other financial investors and management. The gross assets of the business acquired were €34m as at 31 August 2009 with revenue for the 12 months to 31 August 2009 of €41.8m.

The company is a significant player in the foodservice industry in France, specialising in the provision of services in the Education and Healthcare sectors. Caterine Restauration provides an excellent platform for Compass to continue its growth in these important sectors and offers many synergies with Compass's existing foodservice business.
