CHANGE TO DIRECTOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.11(3) Compass Group PLC announces that Carol Arrowsmith will step down as the Chair of the Remuneration Committee (the Committee) following the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting to be held on 9 February 2023 and will be succeeded by John Bryant, Senior Independent Director. 

To ensure that there is continuity and an orderly transition, Carol will remain a member of the Committee. John has been a member of the Remuneration Committee since his appointment in 2018. He has significant experience in business and finance and is considered by the Board to have the appropriate experience, skills and attributes to be an effective Chair of the Remuneration Committee.

Commenting, Ian Meakins, Chair of the Board said, "On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Carol for her dedication and invaluable service as Chair of the Remuneration Committee."
