NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following change in the interests of a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") in ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 8 March 2012, Takeshi Kohjima, a PDMR who is responsible for the Group's Japanese business, exercised 200,000 options at an option price of 316.25 pence.  He disposed of 97,835 Shares at 648.1184 pence per Share in order to meet his resultant liabilities and retained the remaining 102,165 Shares.

Following this transaction, Mr Kohjima's shareholding has increased to 344,424 Shares, representing 0.0182% of the Company's issued share capital.
