NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following change in the interests of a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") in ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 23 March 2012, Juergen Thamm, a PDMR who is responsible for the Company's German business, exercised 50,000 options at 316.25 pence each, 26,571 options at 335.75 pence each and 44,185 options at 321.50 pence each.    

He disposed of 110,756 of the resulting Shares at 668.2504 pence per Share and retained the remaining 10,000 Shares.

Following these transactions, Mr Thamm's shareholding has increased to 56,500 Shares, representing 0.0029% of the Company's issued share capital.
