NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following change in the interests of Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility in ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 3 June 2011, Gary Green, a Director, who is responsible for the Group's US and Canadian businesses, exercised 350,000 options at an option price of 430.00 pence and retained all of the resulting Shares.     On the same day, Mr Green sold 401,981 Shares at a price of 594.1386 pence per Share.   

Following these transactions, Mr Green's shareholding is 1,132,272 Shares, representing 0.0597% of the Company's issued share capital.
