Extraordinary General Meeting - Posting of Circular


Computacenter plc, the IT infrastructure and services provider, announces that
further to the announcement on 28 November 2002 regarding the proposed
acquisition of GE CompuNet in Germany and GECITS Austria (together 'GECITS')
from GE, it is commencing the posting of a circular to Computacenter
shareholders today which includes the notice of an Extraordinary General Meeting
('EGM').


The EGM will consider the ordinary resolution relating to the proposed
acquisition of GECITS as set out in the circular and will be held at the offices
of HSBC Bank plc, Vintners Place, 68 Upper Thames Street, London, EC4V 3BJ on 24
December 2002, at 10.00 a.m.
