PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES

Computacenter plc announces that on 7 October 2002, it purchased for
cancellation 200,000 ordinary shares of Computacenter plc, representing 0.11% of
Computacenter's issued share capital, at an average price of approximately
214.055p per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 218.11p and the lowest
price was 210.00p per ordinary share. Upon the cancellation of these shares, the
number of Computacenter shares in issue will be 185,511,935.
