notification today that following a purchase on 6 September 2001, Friends
Ivory & Sime has a revised notifiable interest in 7,986,469 Ordinary Shares of
1 pence each in the Company representing approximately 10.99% of the issued
ordinary share capital. These shares are held in various fund management
companies of the Friends Provident Group as detailed below:
