Director Shareholding

Creston PLC 1 February 2001 Creston plc (the 'Company') was informed on 31 January 2001 that Western Selection PLC ('Western') bought 207,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each at 115 pence per share on 30 January 2001 from Lonfin Investments Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of London Finance & Investment Group PLC ('London Finance'). The purchase increases Western's shareholding in the Company to 1,541,322 ordinary shares, representing 13.7% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company. Mr D C Marshall, a director of both Western and the Company, is a director and a substantial shareholder of London Finance, which in turn is a substantial shareholder of Western. Accordingly, Mr Marshall is deemed to be interested in this transaction.
