Harrier Signs Agreement to Acquire ReNet
Reading, Berks - 10 March 2000, Harrier Group plc, a leading integrator of
both Internet and network security, and enterprise data management, announced
today that it has signed an agreement to purchase ReNet Ltd, an IT consultancy
and support services company, for £130,000 payable in cash.
ReNet is an IT consultancy and support services company that has developed
relationships with a number of manufacturers including Citrix Systems Inc. who
provide application server software and services to the enterprise.
'ReNet is a bolt-on acquisition, which is consistent with our overall
strategy to acquire partners in the internet and network security markets
where we believe there is strong growth,' said Terry Radford, Managing
Director of Harrier Group. 'Additionally, the combination of Harrier and
ReNet's Citrix expertise will enable us to further develop our managed
services.' Radford continued. 'It will also complement the range of
products and services already offered by Harrier and strengthen our
position as a leader in Internet security and data management.'
