CORAL PRODUCTS PLC
Annual General Meeting
At the Annual General Meeting of Coral Products Plc, ('Coral' or 'the
Company'), one of Europe's leading manufacturers and suppliers of media
packaging for Digital Versatile Disc (DVD), Video and CD, all resolutions put
to shareholders were duly passed, including the authority for the Company to
buy back up to 14.99 per cent of its existing issued Ordinary Share Capital.
Following completion of the formal business of the meeting, Chairman, Sir
David Rowe-Ham made the following comments to shareholders:
'As I stated in July, the new financial year has started well and we continue
to see good demand for our media packaging products. Expansion of our
production facilities continues with new equipment being installed on a
regular basis to further increase production. The weakness of the Euro
continues to impact on our export business although strong demand in the UK
has replaced lost export sales.
'Continuing increases in the price of oil are still putting upward pressure on
raw material costs and trading conditions as such remain testing. Margins,
however, have been protected where possible from large fluctuations in raw
material prices by agreements with major clients linking product-selling
prices to raw material costs.'
